Smokers In Paradise was formed in May of
2005. Marc, April and Alan had just left
another cooking team to strike and try some
new ideas. A mutual love for cooking barbecue
and for hanging out and having a good time
was a great motivater for getting started.
The three had known each other for quite
some time. Alan and Marc have known each
other for almost twenty-five years and had
played in a band a few years previous to
the teams inception.
There
first event sealed the deal at Lawrenceburg
in 2004 where they recieved four top tens
and three ribbons. They continued with success
at several events afterward and continue
in the present placing well in all the events
they compete in.
In
October at Smokin' On the Square in their
hometown of Gallatin, Tn they recieved first
place in Sauce and are currently working
on a bottling deal as well as getting the
first of three spice rubs package for resale
and distribution. As soon as they become
available you will be able to purchase them
here online or at grocery stores located
in the South.
In
May of 2005 Michael Davis became the fourth
member of PSIP. The president of Skylert
Notification Systems climbed onboard as
a sponsor as well as a team member. His
love for barbecue and personality instantly
made him a welcome member of the team and
continues to have incredible input for the
team and other areas beneficial to the team.
